USEF Helmet Rule – For Arabian/Half-Arabian Dressage Riders:  (This does not apply to Western Dressage Riders where it is optional)

• 1. AR111 Protective Headgear:
  See DR120 for protective headgear requirement in Dressage.
  When cross entry by rider or horse/rider combination is permitted between Dressage, Dressage Seat Equitation, Working Hunter, Jumper, Hunter Hack or Hunter Seat Equitation and other Arabian classes at a competition, the above stated headgear requirements apply only to the designated warmup and competition areas or when the competitor is actually warming up for the specific class.‍

• 2. DR. 120.6 states:
  Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Protective headgear is defined as a riding helmet which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. The harness must be secured and properly fitted.”

SPORT HORSE IN‐HAND CLASSES ‐ To help avoid conflicts with other rings, once the number of go’s has been determined, there will be a signup sheet with time frames for each class in the dressage office. If you do not sign up by Noon the day prior to your scheduled class, a go order will be assigned to you. There is an order of go for in‐hand classes. The Order of Go will be definite, but the times listed are approximate. In the event of a conflict with other rings, management will work with exhibitors within the time frame for each class as much as possible.
