Arabian National Breeder Finals

Breeders Club & Three Year Old Finals Futurities

 

General Rules

A.     The Breeders Club Program shall be divided into three sections:

        1.  Breeders Club Yearling Class (Filly & Colt/Geldings)

        2.  Breeders Club 2 year old Class (Filly & Colt/Geldings)

        3.  Three year Old Futurity Classes (Filly & Colt/Geldings)

B.     Only the offspring from the Breeders Club nominated stallions maybe nominated into the Breeders Club Futurity.

C.     Any purebred Arabian can be nominated into the Three Year Old Futurity regardless of sire or dam.

D.     All nominations must be postmarked or received by December 31 of breeding year.

 

Breeders Club Yearling & Two Year Old Futurity

Only the offspring from the Breeders Club nominated stallions may be nominated into the Breeders Club Yearling & Two Year Old Futurity.

Only open to purebred Arabian horses.

All nominations must be postmarked or received by December 31 of breeding year.

Foals are eligible to compete in:

       Breeders Club Yearling Classes (Filly & Colt/Geldings)

       Breeders Club 2 year old Classes (Filly & Colt/Geldings)

 

Stallion Requirements

A.     The owner or lessor of the nominated stallion must be a member in good standing of the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona.

B.     Stallion owners must nominate their stallions with a onetime nomination fee of $1500 (no refunds).

C.     Stallions must be nominated before mares that are bred to them can be nominated.

D.    Stallions will remain in the program unless AHAA is notified of any changes.

E.     There is no limit to how many mares can be nominated to any one stallion.

 

Mare Requirements

A.     Any purebred mare bred to a nominated stallion in the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club is eligible to be nominated.

B.     The mare must be registered with the Arabian Horse Registry of America or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry.

C.     The Mare Nomination Form must be completely filled in, signed and include the nomination fee before the mare will be accepted.

D.    The mare must be nominated and the $200 nomination fee per mare must be paid by December 31 of the year the mare is bred.

E.     The resulting foal remains nominated and eligible to be shown as a yearling and a two-year old in the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club classes.

 

Judging and Showing of Breeders Club Nominated Horses

A.     The resulting foals can be shown as yearlings at the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club class as fillies and colts/geldings.  (2 classes)

B.     The resulting foals can be shown as two-year old fillies and colts/geldings.  (2 classes)

C.     Classes may be added to other shows (Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show) to help market these Breeders Club foals.

D.     Prize money will be awarded in each division (See Section III).

E.     Judging will be done by a 3 or 5 Judge System, the method of which can be modified by AHAA or the Arabian National Breeder Finals Committee.            The judging system for each year will be published in the Prize List.

F.     The resulting foals must be shown by persons holding current USEF cards.

 

Prize Money Breakdown

Arabian National Breeder Finals Payout

A.     45% of the Mare Nominations from that foal crop’s breeding season to the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club Yearling classes.

B.     45% of the Mare Nominations from that foal crop’s breeding season to the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club 2 year old classes.

C.     10%  Administrative Expenses & Promotion/Advertising.

If additional shows are added payout will consist of added money and/or jackpot style payout (payout will be awarded 35%, 17.5% & 47.5%)

 

Arabian National Breeder Finals Club Yearling Futurity

A.     Prize money for the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club Yearling classes will be comprised of the following:

        45% of the Mare Nominations from that foal crop’s breeding season.

B.     The remainder of the prize money will be divided equally between colts/geldings and fillies and awarded to each as follows:

        Champion                          35%

        Reserve Champion              17.5%

        Remainder of Top Ten        47.5% (divided by 8)

D.    In the event there are less than ten yearlings in a class, the percentage will be adjust to pay out the full amount to the eligible horses.

 

Arabian National Breeder Finals Club Two-Year Old Futurity

A.     Prize money for the Arabian National Breeder Finals Club Yearling classes will be comprised of the following:

        45% of the Mare Nominations from that foal crop’s breeding season.

B.     The remainder of the prize money will be divided equally between colts/geldings and fillies and awarded to each as follows:

        Champion                        35%

        Reserve Champion            17.5%

        Remainder of Top Ten       47.5% (divided by 8)

D.    In the event there are less than ten yearlings in a class, the percentage will be adjust to pay out the full amount to the eligible horses.

 

Three Year Old Futurity

Only open to purebred Arabian horses (stallion does not have to be nominated into Breeders Club Futurity).

All Nominations must be postmarked or received by December 31 of breeding year.

Nomination fee is $100 per foal and must be postmarked or received by December 31 of breeding year.

Foals are eligible to compete in the Three Year Old Futurity Classes (Filly & Colt/Geldings)

 

Judging and Showing of Three Year Old Horses

A.    The resulting foals can be shown as Three year olds at the Arabian National Breeders Finals class as fillies and colts/geldings. (2 classes)

B.    Prize money will be awarded to both fillies and colts/geldings.

C.    Judging will be done by a 3 or 5 Judge System, the method of which can be modified by AHAA or the Arabian National Breeder Finals Committee.           The judging system for each year will be published in the Prize List.

D.    The resulting foals must be shown by persons holding current USEF cards.

       1.    45% Fillies

       2.    45% Colts/Gelding

D.    The remainder of the prize money will be divided equally between colts/geldings and fillies and awarded to each as follows:

        Champion                     35%

        Reserve Champion         17.5%

        Remainder of Top Ten   47.5% (divided by 8)

E.     In the event there are less than ten three year olds in a class, the percentage will be adjusted to pay out the full amount to the eligible horses.
